This Bakhtiari carpet follows the common Khesti pattern, with garden scenes of plants in specifically designated areas. This one is reminiscent of the popular Tree of Life design. The curling leaf design in the outer section of the border is a lovely addition. Bakhtiari fields often depict animals and playful scenes of color. The outer border has a dustier tone, while the dyes of the field are more active and vibrant to play on the contrast and become more beautiful.
