This Kayseri wonder bears a pale cream niche at its center on a field of deep blue. Circling around the niche are delicate floral patterns floating on a lighter blue. The design is intricate and marvelous to behold. A Kayseri carpet is traditionally either woven in wool or silk on a foundation of cotton; this rendition was handmade over a century ago.
