This carpet is a joyful cacophony of color! Woven in Miamana, Afghanistan, this Kilim exhibits the repetitive geometric patterns of its type in the diamond structure of the weave. Warp and weft have been dyed in red, greens, blue, purples, and oranges. This many colors would be overwhelming, if the Miamana style were not so skilled in creating harmony from such rich dyes. Uncommon for Kilims in this collection, this carpet has several borders containing its central red field and diamonds.
