This sun medallion glares out from the center of the carpet. The Mamluk style has been lost to time, leaving us to only recreate what once was and marvel at the past. The design of this carpet is rather simple. A central circle medallion in brown and tan is revolved by red and white flower patterns in a rectangle border, that is bordered itself. A marvelous weave for any collector.
